Dillon: Yes, of course, I like Rachel (new little friend) Example #2 Wesley: baybay, baybay, baybay Mom: baby? Wesley: yeah Mom: Oh, is it time for mommy to have a baby in her tummy? Wesley: no

Guy time

Last night a few guys from church (terming it a "Menrichment") had a little night out on the town! They went to a 3D showing of Avatar. I decided Aaron needed to go since he could use a little break and NEVER gets to go to movies (yeah, I'm one of those weird people who really doesn't enjoy them). Well it is no suprise that he had a blast. But the best part was that he came home in the best mood! If that is always the outcome, maybe he needs to do that more often! (I better be careful what I say.) I'm grateful one of the other wives was able to catch a photo op. Looking good in those 3D glasses boys!!!

Brothers

They are pretty good friends most of the time. I love my boys!

Winter!

Just a few fun winter pics...
Preschool friend Ethan at the Candy Cane Hunt First significant snowfall of the year Of course, Dillon went straight for his little tricycle-shouldn't that wait until spring?
And look who followed suit! Of course he is on the bigger bike!
This was one of the colder days here in Chicago! Dillon is pretty tough. Neighborhood kids playing after getting almost a foot of snow! The trike couldn't quite make it.
Neighbor friend Jakob
The snow can definitely be fun with kids. I've just got to track down a sled and find a day warm enough to get out there and really have fun.

Happy 2010!

We put together a last minute New Year's Eve gig and had a great time. The kids loved our mock celebration (at 10:00 PM)
Wesley was SOOO cute with his little blow horn. He just kept going. Kids just make everything more exciting!
This was our attempt at a group picture--the top of the TV "tripod" was a little crooked. A pretty lame tradition, but we do it every year.
Happy 2010!

Christmas Adventures

We had a great holiday! We were able to go Idaho (via SLC) and visit with both of our families. Some of the highlights:
Of course the fun always starts with Richelle!! Christmas Eve at my house
My mom nailed it with the jammies and slippers!!! Wesley loved his slippers and couldn't quit looking at them and barking.
We ran to the Chandlers' for the famous pajama parade
Cousins at the parade
Christmas morning at my parents' place
Reading Grandma and Grandpa's new book from their children
Silly Siblings
Merry Christmas Darling Hobbs Fam (minus Wes)
Awesome Aunt Brittany
The two train lovers
The boys LOVED playing the piano and singing fun songs with Grandma Hobbs. The favorite was "Following the Leader." Wesley couldn't get enough.
It was a wonderful vacation and we loved every minute with family and friends. Can't wait to see them all again--we just live too far away!

It's back!!!

Our windows have ice on the inside of our house! It was a phenomenon I had never experienced until about a year ago, but I guess once you hit negative 12 outside the ice forms. Feel free to look at last January's pics! Happy New Year! Stay tuned for holiday posts
