Hobbs Reunion -- Part I

My family finally pulled off our first ever family reunion.  So fun!!
Heather and her boys flew into Boise so we got to enjoy them a couple extra days and Bradley got to ride with us to Sun Valley.
As we pulled into Sun Valley the craziest hail storm struck.  It was quite the welcome!

I was so happy to finally get these two cousins together.  They're only 15 hrs apart in age and its so sad they haven't been able to play more. Blake is such a fun boy.
These two are pretty good buddies too.
The clouds cleared just in time for family pictures.  I haven't really seen them, but this is the one shot I got on my phone.  Our cabin had a beautiful view!
Grandma pulled out activities for all the kids -- she's so awesome!
They also ate lots of sweets -- Dillon learned the hard way not to do that again!!
My bro, sis and son.  Fun picture.
We surprised Heather with a mini baby shower.
And of course the cards were pulled out before the evening was over.
Day Two:
We headed to Redfish Lake for the day.  The kids loved playing in the sand.
Harpreet is so awesome with the kiddos.
Thanks to Bryan, I tried paddle boarding for the first time!  I actually really liked it!
We rented a pontoon boat for a few hours.  So fun!  The kids loved it!
I've always said Dillon looks more like my sis than me.  Love these two!
 Redfish is BEAUTIFUL!
 Buddies

The kids had a blast catching minnows.
Our boys made it back from their bike ride in time for one quick boat ride.
Kamie made all this happen, she's amazing!

 Todd had fun too!
Back at the house, the kids kept having fun -- in the mud.
Love these two together too.  Todd was a trooper during the reunion.
After dinner we played Minute to Win it.  Lots of laughing!

Then ice cream cones, and .. silly pajamas.
Definitely a fun-filled day.  The weather was perfect.  A little storm rolled in right as we left the lake. It was just so wonderful to play with my family. Love them!  Stay tuned for more...

Todd is 3 Months Old

My baby is three months old already. I'm absolutely in love. He is such a sweet baby. He's content most of the time.  If anyone looks at him, he smiles. Only two things I'd change -- spit up less and sleep more at night. He's still up twice a night and it's starting to wear on me ;(

I love his little fists. His hands usually look like this.

He loves this quilt above the changing table and just stares at it when we change him.
His smile will light up any room!

Friends like Family

One of the hardest things about moving from Chicago was leaving dear friends who had become like family. We were lucky to see two of those families in July.  We got the chance to spend an afternoon with the Froerers last week!  We picked up right where we left off.  Love them!  We met for lunch.  Pretty crazy with all our children!
I LOVED seeing these two back together!

Group shot in the cheese shop.
We moved the party to a local park.  So fun seeing our kiddos pair off with their old buddies!

And time with this lady was priceless.
I really think one of the greatest blessings in this life is the people with which we get to share it.  My favorite hymn is "Each Life That Touches Ours for Good."  I have been so blessed with wonderful friends in every stage of my life.  It is one of the tender mercies of the Lord -- we can feel His love through others.  I'm so grateful for good friends, like the Froerers, who've added so much meaning and fun to my life.  I know the Lord loves me because He's sent me angels.
