Today is my sweetheart's birthday. Dillon couldn't control his excitement so he made Daddy open his presents at 7:30 this morning. I got him some new dress shoes for work so we went shopping to find some pants and a shirt to go along with his new shoes. Upon returning home he discovered that he could watch the BYU football game from his own living room--a first in his lifetime! He's always had to watch at someone else's place or just listen on the radio. But the game today was broadcast here in Chicago! That is the best gift he got today. During one of the commercials he put on his new outfit but quickly sat back down to watch his game. I just had to snap a couple pictures.
Before Aaron started work we took a trip into the city so we could get an idea of the train procedure, go to the zoo, and visit a dear friend we met when we lived in the city last summer.
Here we are at the zoo. I LOVE my new stroller!
Dillon and me by the seals.
Climbing around the monkey house.
These piglets were 3 days old and they were adorable--if a pig can be adorable.
We got to the barn just in time for feeding time for the cows.
The only bummer about this day was when Aaron left his debit card in the ATM. The biggest problem is that we didn't realize until the next day and by then some "wonderful" person had spent over $300 of our money! Just lovely! But the bank has been great and we are trying to get this whole thing solved.
We have entered the next phase of our lives--a working dad and stay-at-home mom. Aaron's first day of work at Katten Muchin was September 4th. Here are some pictures of my handsome attorney on that monumental day.
He was a good sport to pose for this one.
Here he is at the Westmont Train Station, just 4 blocks from our house.
I tried to get a picture of him getting on the train but was a little late. You can see his navy blazer if you look hard enough. Dillon loves going to the train station to take and pick up Daddy (either by car or stroller).
The weekend of Wesley's blessing was one continuous party. Here are some additional pictures.
Lots of people to admire our new little guy.
We tried to introduce the cousins, but something tells me it didn't leave any kind of lasting impression. Grandma Lori got matching clothes for her grandsons. Lots of baby boys!
Heather and Autumn loved being with Wesley and I loved having them around. They were so helpful! Thanks ladies! We love you!
Grandma Chandler drove from Pocatello with Elaine only to drive back two hours later. Thanks to everyone that made a sacrifice to spend time with us.
We were able to have Wesley's baby blessing in Twin Falls while we were visiting family. Don and Lori were gracious enough to host all kinds of people from both of our families so we could have lots of visitors come. Here are some pictures from that special day.
