Ever since our little brother and sister decided to get married to each other, Aaron and I have really wanted to spend some quality time with them. We finally got our chance! Brittany and Luke came to Chicago for the Thanksgiving holiday and we packed the week with fun.
I decided I'm never going to find time to do a long post, so you'll have to get it in bits and pieces.
Our first stop was to see the Broadway production of Les Miserables. Our favorite!
Aaron told them to do their homework so they'd know the story. Man, those two make good students! By the time they flew into Chicago, they knew the story better than we do. We had fun analyzing every lyric of each song and the meaning behind them. Such a great story.
Our cast was great. We discovered we had the same cast that Aaron's family saw in Boise, so it's been fun to compare notes. We must have had a different Marius though, because he was my favorite. "Empty Chairs and Empty Tables" was the highlight of the night for me. Jean Valjean was incredible too.
So fun to experience it together.
And we always love walking the streets of the city.
