Todd's Blessing

We had a beautiful blessing day for little Todd.

Lots of family there.  Unfortunately Chandlers and Tuckers didn't make it in the pics :(
Always love my dad with my babies!
Smiling at Grandpa
Best part of the weekend though, was when the Soelbergs showed up.  A little piece of heaven (or Chicago at least).  It was a super short trip for them but I'm so grateful they made the sacrifice to be there.  Thank you!!
So grateful for a wonderful husband who could perform this special ordinance.  What a lucky lady I am to be surrounded by 5 wonderful boys.

4th of July

We had an awesome 4th this year.  We started the day at a breakfast and bike parade at the church.

Then we headed downtown for the Boise parade.

We sat right in front of the capitol.  Something very patriotic about that.  I took Caleb inside to use the restroom and had flashbacks of Girls State.  Whoa!
Aunt Amy had some great stuff to help get us in the spirit!
It was super hot, so the boys were thrilled when the fire trucks came through and hosed them down!
So hot, we went home and buzzed the three older boys' hair.
Then to Tuckers for a super yummy BBQ.  Should have got pics of the yummy kabobs.
While we waited for it to get dark, the boys watched The Lego Movie.  That's a lot of boys!
We watched the downtown show from a park, although we weren't close enough to really get into it.  We did our own sparklers at the park...
and then headed back to Tuckers for our own fireworks.
At 12:30 AM we finally got the boys to bed -- on the tramp.  A first!  I snuck out the next morning to get a picture.  Can you find four boys??
July 4th is always one of my favorite holidays.  Love the pure summer fun and chance to celebrate our country.  Happy Independence Day!

Todd is Two Months Old

My baby is two months old!  I can hardly believe it.  He is the sweetest little boy EVER.  Honestly, I think Heavenly Father knew I couldn't handle more than an absolutely perfect baby.  He is just that.  He eats, lays wide eyed smiling at everyone that passes by and then squirms a bit when he's ready to go back to sleep.  He occasionally gets a little fussy in the evenings, he spits up A LOT, and we're far from sleeping through the night -- usually up at least twice, although he usually does one 4-5 hr chunk -- but as far as babies go, he's darn near perfect.  I've fallen head over heels AGAIN!  We love his size right now.  He's filled out a bit, but still has a nice little body that is so fun to hold.  I can't get enough of him.

The brothers love him.  Big turning point for Wesley when he started locking eyes and smiling.  Wesley will say, "He smiled at me!  He likes me!"  I love it!  We've gotten a few giggles out of him too.  His daddy is always helping him practice that skill :)  We introduced formula a couple weeks ago and he's doing great with that as his last feeding of the night.

A few pics of my perfect baby...

Tricks with Daddy have begun!

Love this one!
This boy loves to suck.  If he doesn't have his binkie he usually finds his little fist and goes to town.
He really enjoyed the 4th of July parade!

All dressed up in his outfit from his aunt and uncle when they came to visit.
Aunt Brittany
He had his two month appointment and is weighing in at 11 pounds 10 ounces.  Definitely growing. I'm so grateful for a healthy little boy that I get to snuggle every day.  He probably gets sick of mommy's kisses!!  As for the mommy, I feel great!  A little tired at times, but we're doing ok.  It's so fun to have a baby and feel so relaxed since it's nothing new.  I can just enjoy him.  My back always gets so sore right after baby with the sudden increase in chest size and lots of leaning over holding baby, but it's been lots better the last couple weeks.  I also got sucked into trying a 21 day health challenge -- Beachbody's 21day fix.  I'm on day 6 and I feel great, just a little hungry.  But I'm down 5 pounds and feeling motivated.  It's a good jump start to get me back in shape and it's only 21 days.  You can do anything for 21 days, right?!

Grateful for my little Todd.  We sure love having him in our family!

Wesley is SIX

We had lots of fun celebrating Wesley's birthday this last weekend.  Friday night we took the kids to a new children's mountain bike trail.  Super fun!  It's at a park so they could play when they got tired -- huge hit!
Saturday he got to choose an activity and chose Jump Time.  Somehow this is the only picture I took, sorry.
He chose Red Robin for his birthday dinner -- I'm sensing a tradition...
and was pretty thrilled when they brought out his ice cream!
Sunday was his actual birthday and he was so patient waiting all day to open his presents.  Grandma and Grandpa drove up for the occasion and the Tuckers joined us too for a little BBQ.
It is so fun to watch this boy open presents!  He has the best reactions!

The Darth Vedar and Jedi costumes were a huge hit!
Aunt Amy provided the yummy cake!
We love our Wes!  He is totally into Star Wars, Avengers, anything that fights and How to train your dragon.  All boy here.  He recently completed his first season on a soccer team and it was so fun to watch him try his very hardest.  He is such a fun kid and loves to make others laugh.  He's our little clown!  And he's recently started enjoying baby brother more since he smiles -- Wesley gets some good ones out of him.  Here are some other recent pics...

Everyone thinks he looks like my cousin Pat, what do ya think?
He is such a good friend to Caleb. The two of them have so much fun dressing up and fighting.  They also like to make anything into a ship and pretend they're flying.
 Soccer boys
Wesley is really particular about what he wears...
...and yet he has the best bed head in the world!
  Best smile in the world!
Our little kindergarten graduate!

So fun that he had both cousins in his class this year.
 Awesome brother
 Always being goofy!
Love our boy!   Happy Birthday Wesley!!!
