We had an awesome 4th this year. We started the day at a breakfast and bike parade at the church.
Then we headed downtown for the Boise parade.
We sat right in front of the capitol. Something very patriotic about that. I took Caleb inside to use the restroom and had flashbacks of Girls State. Whoa!
Aunt Amy had some great stuff to help get us in the spirit!
It was super hot, so the boys were thrilled when the fire trucks came through and hosed them down!
So hot, we went home and buzzed the three older boys' hair.
Then to Tuckers for a super yummy BBQ. Should have got pics of the yummy kabobs.
While we waited for it to get dark, the boys watched The Lego Movie. That's a lot of boys!
We watched the downtown show from a park, although we weren't close enough to really get into it. We did our own sparklers at the park...
and then headed back to Tuckers for our own fireworks.
At 12:30 AM we finally got the boys to bed -- on the tramp. A first! I snuck out the next morning to get a picture. Can you find four boys??
July 4th is always one of my favorite holidays. Love the pure summer fun and chance to celebrate our country. Happy Independence Day!
