Pinewood Derby

 Dillon was pretty excited to participate in his first Cub Scout Pinewood Derby.  We were really excited how his car turned out -- looked pretty awesome!

 We were also excited to get the weight to an exact 5 ounces, or 141 grams -- thanks to a borrowed kitchen scale.

 With the wheels and axles polished, we were ready to go!

 We may not have polished quite enough, or maybe we should have put the weight closer to the rear of the car.  Dillon's car was able to complete all the races, but didn't win any hoped for awards.  Dillon was a great sport though and we learned lots so we can make an even faster car next year.

 Wesley was just as excited as his big brother and is already counting down the years until he gets to compete!!
