First Day of School

I had really mixed feelings about school starting this year.  It's nice to have a little break from 4 boys, but I don't love having to get everyone up and out the door in the morning... I was ready for some kind of schedule, but school nights get so busy...2 boys home during the day is nice, but Caleb really needs a playmate.  Do I sound crazy?  Yeah, motherhood is doing that to me.

 

Ready or not, the first day of school came.

I rode over to the school with them.  There's such a fun excitement in the air on the first day of school.

I even snuck in to Mrs. Ball's class,

and Mr. Roesler's.

Caleb really wanted to be part of the fun.

 It was a long week before it was really his turn to go to preschool.

He was so ready and so excited to see Mrs. Patricia.  She's awesome!

 These kids are growing up so fast!  Love all my school boys!

Todd is four months old!

Can't believe my baby is four months old. He's done a lot of growing this month. Last week he suddenly started rolling and now every tine you lie him down he immediately rolls onto his tummy. He can get back to his back but it's a little harder. Sometimes he gets stuck on his belly and isn't very happy there -- this is really complicating attempts to let him cry himself back it sleep. I've been trying to put him in his bed awake and he usually drifts off it sleep ok on his own. But not if he rolls. We let him cry it out a bit and before the rolling he was finding his thumb. His best stretch was 9:30 to 5:30 this last week but most nights is still up twice a night. 😒

He suddenly loves toys too. He'll lie under them and reach out to grab them!  He can sit in the bumbo too. He has the sweetest voice and great giggle. He's ticklish! He smiles the moment anyone looks at him.

His cheeks are chubby but everything else is pretty skinny. He spits up all the time so it's amazing he's growing at all.  He's so sweet and easy to love. At our reunion last month my sister's boyfriend commented he never heard him cry the whole time. He's pretty awesome -- just not at 1:00AM!

 

Summer 2014

We've been so busy playing this summer that most of our activities have gone undocumented.  Here are a few highlights.

Lots of swimming -- we hit Roaring Springs once and our community pool lots!

We packed in as much fun as possible and I'm so sad to see summer end.  We really need to get back on a schedule but there's something great about summer freedom.
